Swansea Asylum Seekers Support (SASS)

We organise "COMMUNITY DROP-INS" twice a week for asylum-seekers and refugees, other newcomers and residents, families and people on their own. About 150 people come every week for: free refreshments, play for children (with professional playworkers in the Welcome to Play project), English learning and conversation, advice, information, table-tennis, chess and other games, and friendship. We also organise or help organise special events. And we publish refugee literature with Hafan Books.

Bloom Swansea

Bloom Swansea

A meeting place in the community encouraging inclusion, volunteering, holistic learning, sustainable living, development, fairtrade, respect, healthy and strong communities. A place where everyone is valued.

Foodbank: Everyday people in the UK go hungry for reasons ranging from redundancy to receiving an unexpected bill on a low income. The Foodbank provides a minimum of three days emergency food and support to people experiencing crisis in Swansea. MONDAYS 1PM-3PM 

Women’s Group: Refreshments, Crafts and Yoga. Wednesdays 12:30pm to 2:30pm. Swansea Wellbeing centre, Walter road. Swansea SA1 5PQ

CALL IN ON FRIDAYS: Red Café youth nights are a great place to hang out and catch up with mates. It’s a friendly and comfortable venue.

Bloom Project. welcomes and supports asylum seekers and refugees in many ways with friendship based support.

Join us every other Friday at The GRAFT at the National Waterfront Museum, Swansea. Everyone welcome! No experience needed. Grow Food and Share Produce! 10-12:30pm – every other Friday. Friendly Sessions led in growing food, carpentry and exploring making and craft. Accreditation offered, a friendly face, a cuppa and public transport costs refunded.

African Community Centre (ACC)

ACC launched their Asylum Seekers Community Transport Scheme.

ACC aim to provide advice and support to enable you to better settle into the local community. ACC Wales also run educational programmes for people of all ages and abilities including English language, citizenship, and information on various health issues.
